CD Design

Objective

Choose an album that you resonate with or that inspires you and create a front cover, back cover, booklet, inside tray cards and cd sticker that represent the music visually and emotionally.

Create images that portray the sounds and feelings of the chosen album and using typography and design elements in order to create a realistic album and create a physical copy as the final product.

Process

The album I chose for my CD is called bloweyelashwish by lovesliescrushing. The songs on this album are dream-like, with drone and noise, and emotional.

I wanted to create images that portray this ethereal yet haunting aesthetic and when I noticed the sun beaming through the window and placed my subject in front of it in order to capture this light and feeling. I also captured subject-less images because the sun beaming through the window itself was very moving.

Experimentation

I started to edit these photos, adding color and overlays in order to push the dreamy aesthetic even further and really evolve the images into what the songs feel like to me.
